Green Midge at Lights, Early April Visitor - Tanytarsus

Green Midge at Lights, Early April Visitor - Tanytarsus
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
April 7, 2006
Size: About 4 mm.
I have taken the liberty of making a Tanytarsus page and parking this image here. Milne(1) says Tanytarsus has the common name "Green Midges" and my beast matches Milne's generic description. As always I welcome corrections.

Patrick, Tom, and Lynette (and perhaps others) have photographed similar green midges.

The front legs were hugely long, so I cut them off. Not literally (the Midge thanks me for that) but in the photo.
