Broadheaded Bug (Ant Mimic)

Broadheaded Bug (Ant Mimic)
Jupiter, Florida, USA
July 5, 2004
Shot in a dried wetland area. This was quite large for an ant, about the size of a Carpenter Ant, until I realized it was a bug (see the mouthparts). It is most likely a Broadheaded bug nymph.
