Moved
Moved from Perigona nigriceps.

Moved from Trechinae.

More likely closer to Trechus
I don't see the rudimentary terminal segment on the maxillary palp that would place it near to Tachys.

Nice picture as usual Jeff. I
Nice picture as usual Jeff. I hope to someday be able to get an automontage system, but for the meantime, I'm going to try to use Tim Moyer's setup (it seems so complex, but I'm not really a camera person).

Thanks
Thanks for the compliment Jody.

Best of luck getting a system together. I'm not really a camera person either. The automontage system the UW-Madison Entomology Dept has is relatively easy to use once you get the basics down. Lighting is the biggest challenge, especially when you're imaging convex shiny beetles like histerids. Tim's system works great also. It has led to a dramatic increase in the quality of the images he posts.

Better start saving all your pennies if you intend to get an automontage system. I was not involved in the purchase of the system here, but from what I heard it was pretty pricey.
