Are these sorted by range? I have one that I can't ID

 
Might be one
According to Kaston T. formicinus is the "commonest Thanatus" in nearby Connecticut, so that may be what you have. Yours certainly looks like the ones I've seen (compare it with the male I identified from Alberta). Did you save it for Kevin?

I think I did save it. I see some get sorted (like this one you IDed) but I keep trying to figure out what the key features are for ID. Does it show some feature or just based on commoness.

I was going partly by commoness, but also on the basis that I couldn't find any differences between this and our photos of confirmed specimens. Markings on the abdomen, carapace, legs, etc, all match as far as I can see.

Hmmm...
