Mydas Flies Mating - Phyllomydas - male - female

Mydas Flies Mating - Phyllomydas - Male Female
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA
June 25, 2004
This was shot at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park.

I have shots of 3 different species of Mydas flies from this visit to South Florida (in fact they are quite common down here). I'll havta do some research on species types...

Phyllomydas sp.
In an email to me, B. C. Kondratieff said this is a "Phyllomydas
sp. I would need to see specimens, two species."
