Delaware County, Pennsylvania, USA April 10, 2006 Size: 1/16 to 1/8 inch
Thee were about 3 of these that I noticed among damp ground debris and leaf litter from the remains of winter. Reminds me of a tick, yet it looks like there are fangs tucked underneath. I kind of want to say these are orb weaver juveniles. This looks like it has hairs too, and I don't think ticks have hairs.
I also noticed at it got to the edge of this piece of debris it waived it's front legs around, reminded me of a spider doing that. But again maybe ticks do that too.
