I believe this is V. arizonicus, but the genus is virtually identical to Deilelater other than genitalia.

I would take a dorsal but the whole thing doesn't fit under the scope, so then I'd have to get out the camera and it just doesn't look as good.

So that means that all Arizona

Deilelater sp. could just as well be Vesperelalter and we need to pull the tail to be sure?

I have only seen this one specimen of Vesperelater and I don't know where the AZ records of Deilelater come from. All of ours are from Florida and Texas. It may be that only V. arizonicus occurs in Arizona and the others are mis-ID'd. If my ID is correct, I would say all of them are congeneric, but I don't know what characters Costa came up with to separate genera.
