Carpet Beetle larva in my room? How to get rid of them?

Hi, I got some insects in my room, and I am sure what kind of insect they are. But they look like Carpet Beetle larva (http://bugguide.net/node/view/473449/bgimage)
Their size is like 3mm-5mm. Their color is black and light brown I guess. I have seen more than 10 of them here and there in my room, I saw some on the carpet and couple on my bed. And seems like they don't really move, I blew air to them and even tried to poke them with paper, but they didn't move. I don't know why I don't see any of them down stair, and I also found one in bathroom too(upstair).
So are they carpet beetle larva? If so, they are growing to be carpet beetle right? I don't think I have seen any beetle in my room, how did I get so many their larva? And what do they eat? Do they eat hair and dust? Because my vacuum cleaner is kind of broken for a while, it doesn't work very well, and that's why my carpet is not so clean. And the most important question, how do I get rid of them?

Thanks all your helps!

Thanks for the replies
I am not sure my carpet is wool carpet or not, but I guess it's just regular carpet... I don't often eat in my room, so there should be no human food in my room. In fact, most of food are down stair, but I don't see any of carpet beetle larva down stair. Weird.
And I did some researches, they recommend to find carpet beetle's eggs and larva's shed skins. Anyone know what do their egg and shed skin look like?

And I really don't think that I have seen any carpet beetle in my room and my home. Does that mean that there are not so many larva that I am dealing with?

Their diet
The larvae don't need human food. They can eat wool from blanket lint or clothing, dead insects, and shed skin flakes such as dandruff. I suppose they'd eat shed dog and cat hair. In my house, I found them living in feathers.

The eggs are probably very tiny and hard to find; the skins, you may have found some and thought that there were the insects themselves. As for seeing the adults, remember that one adult can lay many, many eggs and go away, so don't be surprised if you only see the larvae. Just do your best to clean the place thoroughly, that is my suggestion.

Carpet beetles
If in fact they are carpet beetles, you can find some answers to your questions here. You can learn a little more by reading the family Dermestidae's info page.

Money and time to solve this
Money and time to solve this would be best spent on inspection first, as the link suggested, and vacuuming/sanitation/discarding second. Not many people have wool carpet anymore, but you didn't state. Also, sometimes stuff like food and old mouse poison, which may have grain, can end up in places other than the top kitchen shelves, like ending up in air-conditioning ducts and behind the appliances, so check those as well.
