This mud nest was plastered to the side of the house already open. The contents are in second photo. Nothing seemed alive. What are they and are there more than one kind?

Potter wasp (Eumenes)
Potter wasps stuff their nests full of paralyzed caterpillars to feed their young. One egg is laid in each nest. It looks like most of the prey caterpillars in this nest are inchworms (larvae of geometrid moths).
