Yes,
I'm not sure what it did to earn that scientific name. One reference on the info page suggests it's a rather aggressive species.

Wolf Spider -
family Lycosidae... I'm not sure about the genus - these can be hard to ID...

I've added a link to the species info page for a paper by Brady & McKinley that includes detailed descriptions of the five Rabidosa species in NA. Very useful in telling them apart.
