I have been wondering what kind of grasshopper this is. I seem them every year. They are very common and when they fly they make a buzzing noise. Anybody know?

Green-striped, Maybe?
Perhaps the green-striped grasshopper,
Chortophaga viridifasciata
? This site has a goodly number of images of these:

Chortophaga viridifasciata
Yes this is the species. They vary in color. You've managed to get a brown male (first shot), a brown female (second shot), green males (third and fourth shots - rather rare). That last shot could possibly be a female, but it is definitely shaped like a male.
