I turned on my digital microscope when it felt like something was crawling on my wrist. It was this microscopic bug!

crawly little louse
Eeeekkkkkk - how does a grownup get such a beast on her? I sped to the walk-in medical care clinic and they prescribed a shampoo and gel and spray to make sure no more of these were hanging around. Be careful what you try on in department stores this Christmas season is all I can say... I tried on hats at an expensive department store!

...in our rather upscale district, too. i've seen many prime-time TV commercials advertising delousing products -- must be quite a market...
shaving your head before trying on hats would be a good idea ))

it looks to me like a Louse, a Human Body Louse maybe. A young one.
