The description of C. globosa lists specimens you collected on 9/27/2010; I presume these are the same thing.

Moved from Hackberry Pubescent Gall Midge.
Iowa is well outside the known range for this species, and the galls are supposed to be in vein forks. I can't tell from this photo--is the gall attached to a petiole, twig, or a large vein?
