Black Swallowtail - Papilio glaucus - female

Black Swallowtail - Papilio glaucus - Female
Ellerbe, Richmon County, North Carolina, USA
August 3, 2010
I believe this is a female black Tiger Swallowtail. Someone else says it is an Eastern Black Swallowtail.

How I tell them apart
The Black Swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) has a black "pupil" within the orange eyespot on the hindwing, and the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus), like yours, does not.

Papilio glaucus
A dark form but I think this is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail same as your other photo.
