that's... a viable explanation......
....to say the least........

It could be Neosuris sp. in Rhyparochromidae.
Maybe, N. castanea.

 
from Jane O'Donnell: "Yes, I think this is Neosuris.
"I compared it with 2 specimens from Utah identified as N. castanea by Ashlock in 1955. Too many differences to say definitively that it is the same species, but without a doubt the same genus. (Of course, it could be castanea and the ones we have in the collection could be misidentified)."
