Shiny Spider - Leucauge venusta

Shiny Spider - Leucauge venusta
Bryan, Williams County, Ohio, USA
June 29, 2008
Size: body about 1/2 inch
The abdomen colors look like the Marbled Orb Weaver but this was shiny, sort of reflecting light. Maybe its just a younger Orb Weaver?

Not an expert
but how about the Orchard Orbweaver. They are "metallic" looking. It doesn't look to me like the Marbled Orbweaver (Araneus marmoreus)at all, unless you meant the Mabel's (Orchard) Orbweaver which according to the guide was thought a different species but is now Leucauge venusta.

ID
Thank you for the ID. Ive grown up around here and have seen tons of spiders common to this area but the orbweaver is new to me. Now Ive seen two kinds of orbweavers in my yard. Pretty cool to see them.
