Synonyms and other taxonomic changes
Utetheisa ornatrix & Utetheisa bella were formerly considered separate species; now they are considered subspecies (Utetheisa ornatrix ornatrix and Utetheisa ornatrix bella, respectively) of a single species.
Size
30-44 mm wingspan
Identification
Similar to Bella Moth, but FW is more whitish with sparse black spots, with a washed out look.
Range
South Florida and south Texas and the tropics.
