Amara apricaria
is what this keyed to in Lindroth; an introduced European species not previously recorded from coastal BC but probably not a surprising find given that it is widespread throughout the rest of Canada and that this specimen was most likely collected in a synanthropic setting. I have collected this species in abundance at lights in Alberta.

So close...
You were probably only 25-30 km west of me! This one may take sometime-it's a tough one to tell from photo although it looks like something I've seen/collected before.
