Bostrich - Xylopsocus capucinus
Medford, (~25 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA

Size: 4.1mm
a bit under-exposed, but otherwise I believe a better image than original post. Used optics where the beetle image actually fits on the sensor without crowding - A650 at 44mm with reversed 50mm f1.4 lens. Sharper also due to lens better accepting small focus steps.
