Can someone create a new genus and species page for this specimen? I would, but I don't know which subfamily to put it under. There are currently subfamilies Oiketicinae and Naryciinae. Which one should genus Cryptothelia go under, or should a new subfamily be created?

Done
according to All-leps. They spell it with an e, so that's how I made it.

....save me from Senior Moments. Machele White reminded me that we have this moth identified at MPG. If memory serves me (obviously it doesn't!) Brian Scholtens IDed Machele's MPG photo with the wings spread open. Thanks, Machele. Psychidae.

Thanks again!

I can't find anyone to tell me what this species is. Maybe I'll find it in the moth collection in Gainesville in June. I've had it (or a sister species) here in Bowie, MD, and Machele While has had it in Lake County, FL. 18 teeth in the antenna comb. A very nice photo of a difficult moth to photograph.

...
Thanks. Do you know what family it is?

Not sure, but I will send you....
.... an email address for the curator of the FL State Collection of Arthropods. Send him the photo. Maybe he will go to a bit more trouble for a resident of Florida :-) Plus, that's a great photo. Ask for family if he won't name the species without examining genitalia.
