Black Widow Spider - Latrodectus hesperus - female

Black Widow Spider - Latrodectus hesperus - Female
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
April 4, 2006
Size: 5 cm legspan
not sure if it is a Western or Southern Black Widow Spider

This
seems to be a good example of a split hourglass on a hesperus.
I have observed adult female hesperus in southern and central CA with split, partial, or no hourglass.
