Tibicen linnei resting on tree trunk - Neotibicen linnei - male

Tibicen linnei resting on tree trunk - Neotibicen linnei - Male
Batavia, Clermont County, Ohio, USA
August 7, 2005
I found this specimen at dusk resting on a small tree trunk about 5 feet off of the ground while searching for emerging nymphs.

T. Chloromera
Judging by the robust, mostly black mesonotum and green pronotum and wings, this is more likely Tibicen Chloromera. However, some less distinct tibicen species are difficult for me to identify, so I may need a second opinion.
