Size: Body length 13mm
I Collected this beetle early 1990's in the nearby woods.

Callidium antennatum is correct. They're found in pine limbs and are an early emerger.

Its generally difficult to ge
Its generally difficult to get a good picture that shows the outline of the pronotum and any calosities on the surface. This is probably the most common species in the Sierra Nevada, and a colorful one at that.
