Hoverfly Helophilus fasciatus Male - Helophilus fasciatus - Male

Male showing three sets of yellow stripes on abdomen. Fly from early April to early May and again in September to mid October, depending on weather. Mostly feed on Hepatica and Goldenrod (Solidago).
