Germarostes aphodioides

Germarostes aphodioides
Sequoyah State Park, Cherokee County, Oklahoma, USA
May 22, 2010
Size: 4.2mm
Collected from under the bark of a downed White Oak along w/2 Neo*mida bicornis, 1
Eustr*ophopsis sp Polypore Fungus Beetle and one Idio*bates castaneus. The wood was in
an advanced stage of decay/decomposition with much fungi evident. I have three G.
globosus and they only have two lateral carina on the elytra whereas this one has three
and the hind angle of the pronotum is not as squared off as it is on this specimen.
Therefore, I'm going with the G. aphodioides call. Please correct and/or comment as
necessary.
