Size: 17-18 mm (maybe)
This shot shows the best view of the beetle's pronotum, but has a stray reflection covering its elytra/abdomen.

I don't understand.
I can't see the tarsi in the
Nicrophorus nigrita photo
and as far as I can tell, the eyes are completely black in both it and my photos. Could you please be more specific?
