Moth -
Macaria
Elkton, Douglas County, Oregon, USA

Couldn't get this mid-sized moth to spread its wings any more than this. Hope there's enough for and ID.

Having perused Macaria in the guide,

might be a near perfect match, plus, that image was taken about 75 miles from here. Should I move, or wait for confirmation?

Well a week ago,
I would have said yes, but have just got a pile of DNA results from BOLD including several like this that I had tentatively ID'd as Macaria signaria. Turns out that my specimens could be one of several species including signaria, granitata & marmorata all of which look similar! I think I'm probably going to end up moving the previous posts I've made of signaria back up to genus level. So, maybe either wait for someone else or just move to Macaria for now.
