Gazoryctra has ten described species in America north of Mexico. (2)

Size

Wingspan 30-43 mm. (females largest)

Identification

Range

Alaska to Alberta and Idaho, south to Arizona(?). (3)

Habitat

Meadows and grasslands.

Season

Adults are most common from August to September. (3)

Food

Larval host is unknown, but other Gazoryctra species feed on the roots of grasses.

Remarks

Uncommon.
