Melanoplus species
This is an adult with short wings. It is a female, making it difficult to nail down to species, but it is probably M. rotundipennis. There are several short-winged species in Florida that look similar, but your location helps to narrow it down to a few and coloration makes this one most likely. Males are much easier to identify, if the details of the end of the abdomen are clearly visible.
