Size: 14mm
A lovely Synanthedon that was in a Cypress swamp runoff near a lake. Can't quite put it in a species from the Moth Photographers group. Close to the Dogwood Borer but not quite.

I agree it is most likely S. scitula
It’s always hard to tell 100% from a photo, but I think I see several characteristics that match up nicely with Synanthedon scitula. Occipital fringe yellow dorsally and white laterally, hind leg with first tarsal segment yellow laterally, yellow band on 2nd and 4th abdominal segment, no preapical spot on antennae, yellow laterally on anal tuft, and I even think I can see a yellow labial palp with a brown apex. Nice picture!
