Microsicus now a synonym of Synchita
The current name is Synchita lecontei Ivie, Lord, Foley, and Slipinski, 2016. These authors synonymized Microsicus Sharp, 1894 with Synchita Hellwig in Schneider, 1792. Furthermore, they found that Synchita variegata LeConte, 1858 (the original name of this beetle) was a junior secondary homonym within the genus and so had to be replaced. Their new replacement name, as already noted above, is Synchita lecontei Ivie, Lord, Foley, and Slipinski 2016.
