Size: ~2 cm
In a little hollow in a rotting log. It seemed to have a bit of a bronze hue to it. A couple other photos available if wanted.

In Europe
Where they come from, they can be found wintering like this, in their pupal chamber under the bark of dead wood. We always made it a game to guess from the condition of the wood (on the outside) whether we'd find these or C. auronitens
