Staphylinidae - Amphichroum

Staphylinidae - Amphichroum
Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve, Solano County, California, USA
June 23, 2004
oak woodland

probably Amphichroum
Moved from Ocellate Rove Beetles. But it could be Pelecomalium, which has the apices of the antennomeres sharply truncate instead of rounded as these seem to be (hard to tell). There are a few other differences not visible here.
