Theliopsyche (parva?)

Theliopsyche (parva?)
Chibougamau, Nord-du-Québec County, Quebec, Canada
July 23, 2010
This specimen smoothly keyed to genus Theliopsyche using the guide "Genera of the Trichoptera of Canada and Adjoining or Adjacent United States" by F. Schmid (seventh volume of the series "The insects and arachnids of Canada"). The guide states that the lone species of Theliopsyche reported from Quebec is Teliopsyche (Theliopsyche) parva (Banks, 1911); I assume it has fair chances of either being it, either being an unrecorded (new?) species.

looks like it could be
Looks like it could be a female Theliopsyche. There is another northern species in the genus - T. grisea (Hagen) 1861. It appears you kept it so you may be able to tell which species. Theliopsyche seem to be rarely collected and most larvae are unknown so if you have found a population you may be able collect some very interesting comparative material.
