Orange Butter - Chlosyne nycteis

Orange Butter - Chlosyne nycteis
Hamilton County, Tennessee, USA
April 27, 2006
Sp.?

Moved
Moved from Phyciodes.

Moved
Moved from Butterflies.

I think
It looks more like a Silvery Checkerspot. Not the yellow spot in the forwing margins and the black encircled yellow spot on the rearwing.

Phyciodes
Some kind of Crescent?

I think it
looks most similar to the "Northern Crescent (Phyciodes cocyta)"
what do you all think?
