Not a ceram*bycid?

Not a ceram*bycid?
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
March 18, 2006
Size: 22-25 mm approx.
After several years to reflect on the matter I have decided that I must have mixed up larvae and that no way is this the larva of Centron*opus cal*caratus. They had been associated with this life cycle series. Here's what I wrote at the time:

This large-mandibled ceram*bycid-like larva was quite a rearer as well as back-crawler. I had never seen a tenebrionid grub so legless as these guys. I was absolutely fooled by their appearance. I kept them in the same container, but only one survived. Perhaps the deceased was mauled by its cellmate :-(

Congratulations Bugguide!
You're 50,000 images strong!

SOB, sniffle.... I was going to sandbag it....
.... but forgot until 50,001 was posted. Congrats to you. You are an important part of the BugGuide.Net strength.

Hi Bob,
I wondered if someone might be angling for that milestone :-) Well, there's 100,000 to look for and it will probably take less than a year to get there.

Actually...
That's 50000 nodes (guide pages are included in the same numbering system). We've got about 3000 images to go for the 50000 mark.

How Shall We Node....
... when we hit 50,000 photos?
