Can we sell this idea to John Le Carre?
Seems like grist for the spy/thriller mill. "Sean opens the package in his garret and sees only a tangle of loopers. Then suddenly, these alert little agents arrange themselves to spell out the crucial information he'd ASCII'd headquarters for..."

At least one person created a typeface made up of photos of human forms. I have seen a kid's book with insect photos making up all the characters.
