Thanks! Appreciate the help, especially since I was off on the family. I thought they looked like ladybugs, but I guess I didn't get far enough into the coccinelids to find these guys!

 
C. m. strenua, to be sub-specific!
We don't have many of the subspecies Coleomegilla maculata strenua on BugGuide. Could you maybe post a pic cropped just around the C. maculata to that subspecies? I'd love some more representation on BG!

Done! I've just got the one shot with a good view of that beetle, but it's decent enough to crop.
