These were very calm and beautiful specimens. I wish I could have kept them.

Polistes fuscatus at nest (FL)
Because there is some red on abdominal segments 3-6 this has to be fuscatus, not metricus. Too little yellow for dorsalis and bellicosus. Black on abdomen excludes carolina/perplexus.
