Bird Grasshopper nymph? - Barytettix humphreysii - male

Bird Grasshopper nymph? - Barytettix humphreysii - Male
Florida Canyon, Pima County, Arizona, USA
July 22, 2010
I may be way off in thinking this may be a bird grasshopper, but the strong white line down it's back makes me think perhaps it is a nymph.

Looks like Barytettix
At least I'm pretty sure I can tell Barytettix and Conalcaea nymphs apart now.

Moved from Bird Grasshoppers.

That makes sense
I can see the structural similarities now. Interesting coloration, they blend well with the rocks.
