Wow!! It almost looks like a
Wow!! It almost looks like a Wheelbug or Assassin bug. Did you measure it?

 
Same thought...
Yeah, I actually thought that myself that perhaps it is a large wheel bug/assassin bug, but if you look at the second photo that I posted (from L to R), the feet are shaped like leaves. That's why I'm thinking it still could be a LFB. If it's an assassin bug, then I've never seen anything like it - at least not in size and not in South Carolina. As for the length, I'm certain that after an up close and personal view, this fella is an easy 2.5 to 3 inches. :)
