Leschenaultia halisidotae - Leschenaultia - female

Leschenaultia halisidotae - Leschenaultia - Female
Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA
April 7, 2011
Size: 12 mm
Lovely tachinid. I've been slowly digesting the information in A. R. Brooks' A revision of the North American species of Leschenaultia sens. lat., and Toma & Guimarães' Estudo taxonômico de Leschenaultia Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera, Tachinidae). (in Portuguese), which described a number of new Nearctic species.

Tentatively, I think this fly is the widespread Leschenaultia halisidotae Brooks. Based on the key (for males, unfortunately) in Toma & Guimarães (2002), which I translated with Google, the similar L. reinhardi sp. nov. lacks reddish-brown spots on the scutum just anterior to the scutellum, and the scutellum itself has scattered pruinosity. L. macquarti sp. nov. has the flagellomere less than twice the length of the pedicel, while in halisidotae, it is greater than twice the length.

Thanks
I don't imagine these are identifiable without a specimen?
