On grasses and low-growing forbs near Claremont Creek, afternoon. Location was either Oakland or Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve; impossible to tell from map.

Metallic sheen
The elytra looked more metallic than these photos show. A comment on the third-earliest photo of this presumed species says, in part, "One consideration has to be Leptalia macilenta. Color is given as dark greenish to brown metallic."
