Hyperaspis bigeminata
from a scan through Gordon (1), appears to be Hyperaspis bigeminata (female) - "apical position of spot on elytron is usually sufficient to distinguish H. bigeminata from similar appearing species of Hyperaspis." Northeast local also greatly helps.

Also looks like Jim's Hyperaspis posts are H. bigeminata

It's great finding new (for me) beetles, and getting a name on them makes it complete. I sent a note to Jim about his beetle, so he'll know that his is the same.
