small true bug - Amnestus pallidus

small true bug - Amnestus pallidus
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
May 5, 2006
Size: 3mm
Is this a Lygaeid, or something else?

Cydnidae: Amnestus pallidus
Our only smallish brown one.

Only one choice
I like the odds of being right when there aren't any others. :-)

Cydnidae
It is a small but common cydnid.

Burrowing Bug
I was trying to make it into something else, but the spiny legs, clear wingtips, and shape are right. Thanks Don.
