Identification

Black with 5 pale spots on each elytron (wing cover)
Male with pale pronotal margin, female with entirely black pronotum
Range

Karl Stephan reported 9 spmns from Latimer Co., OK (3)
Remarks
Hyperaspis troglodytes is so rare in collections that the possible range of variation cannot be assessed. (1)
See Also
Hyperaspis disconotata has the similar pattern but basal elytral spots nearly touch, plus body shape is more oval:

Brachiacantha, ursina group, may have similar pattern but forelegs always with tibial spur (which no Hyperaspis species has).
