Another xylomyid fly? - Xylophagus reflectens

Another xylomyid fly? - Xylophagus reflectens
Hudson, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 2, 2006
Size: 8 - 9 mm
This underside view was taken after the fly died, was pickled in ethyl alcohol, removed and dried for this shot. Cedar Creek's site has a photo of what they term a BK xylomyid, BK meaning black I presume. Indeed, its abdomen is black like this one's. They also have pix of a RD xylomyid that looks like my first one. RD apparently means red.
