Looks like a calcaratus maddisoni.

I was hoping it was a calcaratus. Is maddisoni a subspecies that should be added to the guide, or is it fine where it is?

Like
audax, Peucetia viridans, and others, it is an example of geographic variation.
Three total: H. c. calacaratus (FL), maddisoni (primarily your area west to great lakes), and agricola (midwest). Griswold revised the genus and described the subspecies, and they are listed on the World Spider Catalog as well.
