How did you make the ID on this one?
It's a first for the guide, I think - do you have another reference?

 
I ID'd it by keeping an eye o
I ID'd it by keeping an eye on the eggs left on a plant and then watching the nymphs develop. In the corner of the woods in which I live, these are the dominant leaf-footed bug species, and the nymphs are all over the place right now.

Maybe you can get some more life stages - eggs, even?

 
I've tried shooting the first
I've tried shooting the first instar, but they're a little too small to get the kind of detail I'd like. Ditto for the eggs. I'll try for the eggs again, though, when the next clutches get laid (we get at least two breedings per season her; the next time around should be in July if last summer was a good indicator).
