Chalcid parasitoid of Tischeria quercitella - Closterocerus - female

Chalcid parasitoid of Tischeria quercitella - Closterocerus - Female
Pelham, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
Size: 1 mm
Emerged on 5/8/2011 from a mine in an oak leaf I collected over the winter. Although there are many documented parasitoids for Tischeria spp., there don't seem to be any recorded from T. quercitella specifically.

Moved from Eulophidae.
Christer Hansson: "Closterocerus sp., a female"
Update, 2020: upon examining the specimen, he says it may be an undescribed species.

Eulophid…
The brilliant metallic coloration, short antennae, and axillae that extend past the tegula suggest this group. Banded wings are not uncommon. Many mining moths are associated with eulophids.
